چکیده
Functional plastic scintillators have attracted much attention for their usefulness in on-site monitoring and detection environments. In this study, we elucidated a highly reliable functional scintillator of radioactive strontium, which means potent perovskite-loaded polymeric scintillation material based on epoxy 2,5-diphenyloxazole (PPO). Moreover, Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP) simulation was performed to optimize the thickness efficient strontium detection. A 2 mm found be optimum beta-ray newly developed with 430 nm emission from perovskite loading could trigger enhancement employing potential indication energy transfer into photomultiplier (PMT) detector. Furthermore, response emitter 90Sr compared commercial BC-400 by exhibiting efficiency spectrum fabricated scintillator. We believe that suggested employed as radiation detector wide range applications including decommissioning sites nuclear facilities, security monitoring, nonproliferation, safeguards.

Three algorithms for discriminating between fast neutrons, thermal neutrons and gamma rays in a Li loaded plastic scintillator have been compared. Following a literature review of existing pulse shape discrimination techniques, the performance of the charge comparison method, triangular filtering and frequency gradient analysis were investigated in this work. The scintillator was exposed to thr...

ZnS nanoparticles (NPs) doped with Ag, Cu, and AgCu were synthesized using hydrothermal method in water solution. The NPS are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy scanning (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The produced NPs have approximately hexagonal structure and a cubic zinc blended struc...

In this article, we report the family of robust layered sulfides K(2x)Mn(x)Sn(3-x)S(6) (x = 0.5-0.95) (KMS-1). These materials feature hexagonal [Mn(x)Sn(3-x)S(6)](2x-) slabs of the CdI(2) type and contain highly mobile K(+) ions in their interlayer space that are easily exchangeable with other cations and particularly strontium. KMS-1 display outstanding preference for strontium ions in highly...
